I've cooled down from yesterday's burst of frustration, annoyance, anger and whining.
Went to the body shop today and got an estimate for the damage. Total comes to $1,711.65! All from a "clip" in a parking lot. Their insurance will cover 100% of the cost (as they should) as well as the cost for a rental car for the four days they think it will take to fix. They have to replace the hood, the grille, the ornament for the grille, something about the fender...and some other stuff I am not sure what it is because it is all in abbreviations. Anyhow, parts: $494.66, Body labor: $360, Paint labor: $535 (!!), Paint supplies: $267.75, and some other misc stuff and tax. Phew!
When I talked to their insurance contact, she kept saying "estimint" instead of "estimate" and I thought it was funny. "Hey Freakazoid, wanna go for a [esti]mint?"
