A retired professor came in last week and he said, "Hello, Hannah! You know what? You're prettier than you used to be. I mean it! Why is that? What have you done?"
What?! Where on earth did that come from?!
I said, "Uhhh, thanks. I don't know why." And I promptly turned bright red, as is my fashion. The only slightly unusual thing I could think of was that I was wearing earrings.
Neil says I should have said, "Thanks. And you're more observant than you used to be."
Hahahahahahaha!
