Hooray! I have been diagnosed with chronic sinusitis! A real diagnosis! Not a mystery!
My CT scan showed mild to moderate inflamation and excess mucus in all of my sinus cavities as well as inflamation of the little membrane that allows stuff to drain from your nose. Therefore, because that membrane is pissed off, nothing can come out. I'm now on a regimen of Rhinocort and sinus irrigation rinses, with decongestants and expectorants on the side. The cause is slightly uncertain - could be the dust mite allergy, or plain ol' genetics.
