It's the sugar

In December I went on this crazy anti-fungal diet thing which excluded a ton of foods (no grains, no sugar, no yeast, no legumes for two weeks...you gradually add in legumes and certain grains...no added sugar ever). I don't know if it helped me at all fungally, but I did discover I have that sensitivity to wheat and yeast. Anyhow, I went to the mall last night and I tried on some pants. I'm two sizes smaller than I was before...at least. None of my pants fit at all and I don't have the cash to spend on new clothes. So, I get to swim in my pants for a while and marvel at the fact that stopping sugar consumption can cause one to lose so much weight. Seriously...I eat like a pig otherwise. I didn't realize that sugar is in nearly EVERYTHING! Start checking out ingredient lists...it's in there...hidden as sucrose and corn syrup and a bunch of other fancy sounding things.

So, if you're trying to dump some pounds...go cold turkey on the sugar. It's amazing how sweet an apple tastes to me now. Yum yum yum!
