Destruction

They're ripping up the walkway in front of the library, pulling up trees, and making a lot of noise. They're going to put in paving stones...and hopefully plant some trees again. We're having a meeting with someone Friday about all the plans.

You can only see the one holly tree (to the right in the 2003 photo) that they took down, but they took down a ton more along the side of the library (which I don't have a photo of). And hey, look at that! I didn't remember that they took out a lamp post and put in an emergency phone. Huh!

Today they're putting in more gravel stuff as a foundation for the stones, I guess.

Meanwhile, just past the upper right-hand corner of those photos the following is taking place:



It's been a noisy, messy campus the last month and will continue to be for quite a while. The building above is now gone and they've filled in the big hole with lots of dirt.
