Worst Week Ever?

This week was a nightmare. First, after a great weekend with friends, I got sick. Fever. Chills. Sweating. No puking or disgusting amount of mucus, but overall fatigue, aching, headache, etc. The fever went up and down and up and down and up and down - I kept saying that my thermostat was broken.

That was Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday, I woke up and found that I had a negative fever. Way below normal. That feels weird.

When I got out of bed on Wednesday, I felt a weird twinge in my lower back and hip area on the left. Went into the kitchen to ask Neil which muscle this (poking at the threatening muscle in my back) might be. Poke poke poke. AAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarg! Sharp, intense pain! Try to stand up straight...nope. Try to walk...nope. Try to get back in bed...nope. Collapse on the floor...yup.

Horrible.

I feel insanely lucky that I have an awesome doctor who could fit me in and fix me enough to get through...

the GRE, which was on Thursday morning. The GRE sucks. Standardized tests = torture. I think I did ok, though. Despite the fact that I didn't sleep more than two hours Wed. night and was still trying to feel somewhat normal from my temperature rollar coaster ride. I think I was in a fog for most of the writing sections. I don't even remember the questions very well.

I'm doing ok today. Better. My back is feeling better, though I have to be careful not to make any sudden moves in certain directions. I had a pretty bad sinus headache this morning, but I took an antihistimine and that seemed to help a lot. I am still pretty exhausted. Glad it's Friday.
