I found out this week that I have some muscle atrophy on my face! How disturbing! I've noticed in more recent photos that my face has a sort of odd asymmetry, with my left side looking more hollow. I now know why. I find this very alarming and cannot stop thinking about it.
UB has offered me admission to their library program. Now I just have to hear from the music department and see what money they can give me. They wanted me to tell them if I was coming by THIS FRIDAY. What? Um...no.
IU asked me to come interview with their musicology dept. last Friday. That was intense. I put my foot in my mouth plenty of times (yum yum) and I really have NO idea what they thought of me, but I did it. I went. I talked. I only turned red a few times. I had to eat a sandwich for lunch (it was an official lunch with the other applicants and profs.) The sandwich was ok, despite the bread part, but it wasn't nearly enough, so by 5-ish (when they had a lame little reception for all us applicants), we were all famished. I was shaking, so Neil and I bolted early and went to an Indian restaurant. They gave us funny, teeny salads.
Neil's birthday is tomorrow. We're having a party with the dress code of "unfortunate casual"...I hope people stick to it! I am very excited to make food for this party. New recipes! Huzzah!
