Week of Crazy Travel

  • Feb. 24: Drove Neil to Louisville to catch a plane to Albany. I drove home immediately in order to finish my day at work.
  • Feb. 25: Neil took train from Albany to NYC. Stayed with Z & A.

Zadie welcoming Neil to New York
  • Feb. 26: Neil took Pilobolus audition and, although he failed to advance (blame it on the handstand), had a grand time. Went to see the new production of West Side Story with Z & A.

Neil's audition gear: borrowed pink backpack, audition information, metro card, banana and Monster Woman.

Very exciting!
  • Feb. 27: Neil hung out in NYC.

Times Square = shiny
  • Feb. 28: Neil flew back to Louisville, where I picked him up and we continued east to visit with Bon in Cincinnati for a few hours (ate at Ambar and then Graeter's - YUM). Continued to Akron to stay with D & K.

Neil and Bon share Graeter's with a new friend
  • Mar. 1: Drove to Buffalo. Arrived at UB in time to hear the WORST M.M. clarinet recital I've ever heard. Hung out at Starbucks with J & G (which was SO fun!) Stayed with L & D.
  • Mar. 2: Quicky driving tour of Buffalo. Met with folks at UB. Was both pleased and underwhelmed. Drove back to Akron for the night. Neil played Guitar Hero for the first time.
  • Mar. 3: Drove to Cinci. Went to IKEA (joy!) and bought stuff. Had dinner with Bon at Myra's...then more Graeter's. Drove the rest of the way home.

A disturbing sign in Kentucky...

I think that's about 3,488 miles covered by Neil in one week. About 1,568 for me. Phew.
