Hummingbirds!!!

We have hummingbirds!!! It was so beautiful outside yesterday temperature-wise that we opened our front door to let in the cool air and to our delight, a hummingbird came to our feeder! And then another one chased him/her away and sat down to have a sip! TWO! I wonder if they have been feeding there for a while but because our door has been closed to shut out the oppressive heat, we haven't noticed. We hadn't changed the nectar in the feeder for, oh, a long time and it was cloudy and there were little bees in it (sorry little birds!)...so we promptly took it down and mixed some new nectar. They came right back as soon as the feeder was back up. I had to call my folks to make sure we had the nectar ratio correct and they were able to witness our delight:

"Ooooh! There he is there he is there he is!!!!!!"
"OOOOOOOOOOHHH!!! TWO of them!! TWO!!!"

etc.
