April Update

Sorry I've been so quiet lately. It's been a little hectic and yet also a little dull.

BUT this past weekend we went up to Chicago for Neil's little brother's wedding. It was a very good time, but I came home with a cold and missed work on Monday and Tuesday and was up coughing for a lot of last night. Ick.

The wedding went off without any major mishaps, which for Neil's family, is a little surprising. The worst thing that happened was that the big vat of leftover marinara sauce from the reception was either misplaced or eaten mysteriously (though I wonder if it ever actually existed) which meant that everyone who was counting on it for lunch the following day was sorely disappointed. But we ate the pasta with the leftover hummus and that was surprisingly good!

On the plane ride there, Neil was going back from Friday to Friday, recalling where he was each week. So, I'll try to recreate it here for your amazement:

So, you can sort of see what kind of year this has been so far for Neil. He is finally home now for a few days, though they go on a few short trips between now and the end of the season on May 9.
