This is blowing my mind

This is a sort of random post, but I'm reading Alex Ross's book The Rest is Noise : Listening to the Twentieth Century and I've gotten to the chapter titled "The Art of Fear : Music in Stalin's Russia" and because my memory/knowledge of that part of history is so fuzzy (nearly non-extant), I've been reading up on it via Wikipedia (because it's so easy!) and I jumped to the following page via a link:

The bar graph is stunning. Eddie Izzard, in Dress to Kill mentions the horrible number of deaths for the Soviet Union. I had no idea. The graph sort of drives it home.
